99 CLASSICS WALNUT SILVER

As a user of the Meze Rai Solo IEMs, It felt natural to go with the 99 Classics, when I was looking for an overhead headphones in this price range.

I was expecting a balanced sound, with a good stereo image. 99 Classics delivered. The sound stage is almost as good as the Liric, which is amazing for this price range.

I use the Dragonfly Black DAC on-the-go and the PS Audio Stellar Gain Cell DAC at home, easily enough power to make these headphone shine. I recommend an upgraded DAC with these, my iPhone 11 just cannot give them the information and power they need to achieve their full potential (obviously).

Few minor drawbacks are the cable, which is not fully braided with fabric, I will get the upgrade cable in the future, at least to my home setup. For on-the-go listening the microphone cable is fine. My example had some minor paint defects on the headband, but it doesn't affect the sound or the looks. Of course, a closer inspection will show it, but non-the-less.

You GUYS!! Words of mine can simply not describe to you how wonderful these sound. I will say, to fully understand the depth that they can offer, I listened to some really well-made CDs and was absolutely blown away. However, even just listening to spotify on my phone sounded leagues better out of these. I can't say it enough, they are super incredible and exactly what I was looking for in a pair of headphones. Of course, they even look gorgeous. Out of this world.

I really enjoy these pair of headphones. When I hook these up to my amp, they sound even better than my Bose 700 for $100 less. My only complaint is that only after about a month and a half of owning it one of my walnut sides has begun to crack apart. I was able to use glue to keep it from cracking further but other than that I have no complaints! Keep up the good work.

Me being someone that owns multiple pairs of headphones I can say these are great, very clear and yes it has a bit of extra bass but it's not super over the top like Skullcandy Crushers. They have a wider range than the Audio Technica m50xbt's and more sound staging in my opinion. They are super easy to get a lot of volume out of with them being a super low amount of ohms. You can run them off an Ipod shuffle and be fine with their audio (my opinion) and are a great price for some audiophile starters. I hope one day I can get my hands on some Elite's. Oh and the shipping was super-fast.

These things are amazing. I have a tiny dac and amp and it doesn’t need it to run but even without it, these things are well worth the price. The bike quality alone is amazing but the audio is just mesmerizing. Lows for lower and highs for higher. And the kids sang like angels. 10/10
